For the dough:
- 160g sugat
- 4 eggs
- 70g almond flour(Alternatively, you can also process almond kernels with your powerful mixer to ground almonds)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 180g dark chocolate
For the topping:
- 2 glasses sour cherries (approx. 680g per glass)
- 1 packet cake glaze
Melt the butter and dark chocolate together.
Beat the sugar and eggs until foamy.
Then mix the ground almonds/almond flour and baking powder well and fold into the sugar-egg mixture.
Finally, mix the melted butter and dark chocolate mixture well with the rest of the dough.
Put into a buttered springform pan Ø 26cm and bake at 180°C for about 40/45 minutes until the dough is well done.
Allow the cake to cool.
Drain the 2 glasses of sour cherries well and spread the cherries on the cooled cake.
Finally prepare the cake glaze and spread well on the cherries so that they do not fall off.
A delicious almond chocolate cherry cake is ready.
