Coconut is suitable for cooking and baking, for muesli and as a snack in between. Coconut is free of cholesterol, lactose and gluten and suitable for diabetics.

Origin: Sri Lanka Recipe for coconut oat biscuits

150g butter
125g sugar
1 tablespoon maple syrup (Art.No. 6452)
1 tablespoon flour
2 eggs
50g coconut chips (Art.No. 252)
250g oat flakes
for flavouring: cinnamon (e.g. cinnamon sticks art.no. 6655) or vanilla (e.g. vanilla, ground art.no. 6116) or lemon peel.

Cream butter, sugar and maple syrup. Add oat flakes, flour, coconut chips and eggs and mix well. Flavour to taste with cinnamon, vanilla or lemon peel. Now place spoonfuls of the mixture onto baking trays lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for about 10 min.
