Naturally lactose-free, cholesterol-free, gluten-free, fibre-rich, fair trade. It contains the highest percentage of dietary fiber 42% compared to other flours and about 19% protein.

Coconut flour contains a very high proportion of fibre.

Coconut flour is a natural alternative to other types of flour, rich in fiber and protein.
In fact, it has the highest content of dietary fiber compared to any other type of flour.
It is also the leading flour among the other flours in protein content.
The common use is for cooking, baking (pancakes, biscuits, bread, etc.), thickening for sauces, and it can even be added to smoothies.
Several tablespoons per day would make a significant difference in the daily intake of fiber.

One important thing to note is that due to the fact that coconut flour does not contain gluten, it cannot be used 1:1. As a substitute for normal flour, more liquid is needed to achieve the right texture.
A good guideline is 1 portion coconut flour to 4 portions other flours such as spelt, rye, or wheat flour.

Production of coconut flour:
Coconut flour is made from fresh coconut meat. It is dried and then pressed into oil in an oil press.
The deoiled pomace is finely ground and then packed airtight.
The flour is white and has an exotic smell.
Due to this manufacturing process it is very low in fat.
