Here is a photo of a European Chameleon (Chamaeleo chamaeleon) of which some populations are native to our Quinta.
They are 20-30 cm long and can climb very well with their feets. The tail also serves for a good grip. We have often been able to observe the rapid change in color, for example when a chameleon running on stones is placed in a green deciduous tree. Immediately the color changes from beige to green.
Chameleons are very sensitive to chemical products. Since we do not use any, many find a home with us.
