The "salt flower" natural, unadulterated in a decorative cork glass. From the Ria Formosa nature reserve in the Algarve. Obtained by hand using traditional methods.
Flor de Sal is the "salt taste". The natural salt crystals can only be harvested when there is no wind. They form and are only available 6-10 hours for hand harvesting. They are very different in size. Depending on the humidity during the harvest, the salt is slightly moist. We deliberately leave that as it is. The taste is harmonious, not obtrusive. The salt crystal flakes can be easily ground between the fingers and melt on the tongue. (Not suitable for salt mills, we recommend our coarse, untreated sea salt for this).
Flor de Sal, natural sea salt contains no additives and is not refined. It is scooped by hand without the use of machines. Full of minerals, dried exclusively by the wind and sun of the Algarve. The certifications of Quinta Fornalha vouch for the artisan, ecologically sustainable production as well as the chemical and microbiological purity.
