Sun-dried tomatoes contain a lot of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant. Our tomatoes are gently sun-dried (38°C) and harvested fully ripe, so they have a wonderful aroma.
Dried tomatoes are versatile. Whether as a Mediterranean note in homemade bread, marinated in oil, as a snack or further processed in delicious recipes for antipasti, the dried tomato passes many healthy ingredients on to the body.
Ingredients: dried tomatoes, sea salt 8%.
Dried tomatoes in oil:
500g dried tomatoes
200ml red wine vinegar
2 sprigs basil
3 cloves of garlic
olive oil >
Place tomatoes in a saucepan with water and vinegar, bring to the boil and leave to stand for 2-3 hours. When the tomatoes are soft, drain the liquid, dab the tomatoes dry and layer in a glass with the basil leaves, garlic slices and capers. Pour olive oil over everything and close well.
After 4-5 days the tomatoes are ready to enjoy. Try some pickled tomatoes on fresh white bread.
