Like the tea plant from Asia, there is also a green tea from Rooibos.
For its production, fermentation, i.e. enzymatic oxidation, is prevented by briefly heating the green waste.
The dry fermented or unfermented rooibos tea is then further processed. It is cleaned of impurities, sieved, sterilised for safety and finally packaged.
In contrast to the normal Rooibos tea, the "green" Rooibos tea does not undergo any fermentation and must therefore be processed faster during production.
Because fermentation is avoided, the "green" Rooibos tea gets a finer aroma than the normal Rooibos tea.
Without fermentation, the leaves of the redbush retain more of their health-promoting active ingredients.
Rooibos tea is a very digestible drink with a mild, soft, fruity taste.
It does not contain caffeine, but is rich in vital minerals.
It tastes very good and balances the body's water balance.
Preparation: 1 tablespoon tea with approx. 1/4 litre boiling water, brew for approx. 5-10 minutes, strain.
Green Rooibos Tea can, as in general, be infused several times with green tea.
Origin: South-Africa, natural, unfermented, from controlled production.
