To dry, the plums are left to ripen on the tree in the heat of the sun for as long as possible. Protected by nets, these remain on the tree until the fruit peel is slightly wrinkled. Then the fruits are harvested and stoned. Only flawless, ripe plums produce the best then still juicy dried fruit.
As is generally known, about 10 ready-to-eat dried plums, eaten throughout the day, help to boost digestion. The plum is also a good source of energy as it has a well-balanced proportion of fructose. In the office as a healthy snack, during sports or whenever an increase in performance is desired. Proven many times in the combination of excess alkaline nutrition.

Note: Since the fruits are processed by hand, it cannot be ruled out that there may be isolated plum stones in the dried plums.
Recipe: Spicy plum sauce < br />< br />
200g dried plums
400ml red wine
2TL red wine vinegar
Sprinkle the plums with 300ml red wine and leave to soak overnight. Cook in a pot for about 15 minutes and then puree well. Now mix in the vinegar and pour in the red wine until a creamy sauce consistency is obtained. Season to taste with pepper and ginger.
Excellent with roasted meat or as a dip with meat fondue.
