Harvesting is done by hand in June and July. Then the Maca roots are spread out to dry in the sun on tarpaulins and dry there for several weeks. The tubers are cleaned, disinfected with biodegradable lemon extract and then crushed and finely ground in special mills. The fine powder is then dried again at a temperature of 40 °C to gently remove the residual moisture.

Tip: Powder can be taken easily with a little practice: Put a slightly heaped teaspoon of the powder in your mouth. Drink carefully 2 small sips of a liquid (e.g. freshly squeezed orange juice or water). Keep them in your mouth and mix the powder and the liquid well with your tongue. Then swallow first! This will save you annoying mixing in the glass and sticky powder everywhere.
