Real Ceylon cinnamon from Sri Lanka in premium quality, deliciously warm and intense aroma, for desserts and savoury dishes
Ceylon cinnamon is mild and fine in taste, nicely balanced, it does not superimpose the taste of the dishes. Our Ceylon Cinnamon is a pure natural product, here no flavour enhancers or additional cinnamon oil are used.
Good to use in pastries, desserts (who does not know rice pudding and cinnamon), coffee, tea, in smoothies or muesli.
The cinnamon bark is a very old and already in ancient Egypt, Rome and in the Middle East popular spice.
Ceylon cinnamon bark is obtained from the bark of the young branches of the tree. The bark is freed from cork and other tissues.
Cinnamon bark contains an aromatic smelling essential oil ("cinnamon oil") with cinnamaldehyde as main component; also catechin tannins and caffeic acid derivatives.
Ceylon Cinnamon naturally contains less coumarin. The amount of naturally contained coumarin here is far below that of cassia cinnamon and is described as harmless.
Without the addition of flavour enhancers and artificial flavours, not irradiated, quality tested in the laboratory.
