Cashews are harvested ripe and dried in the sun.

Then evaporated to crack the nutshell, and dried at 38 °C to make them fit the level 320.


Characteristics of cashews from Vietnam
The cashews from Vietnam are a touch darker in their color and slightly stronger in their flavor.

The cashews are raw, not salted and not roasted.


Nutrients
Cashews are rich in protein, carbohydrates, minerals and unsaturated fatty acids.

The proportion of the essential amino acid tryptophan is very high. They have a high content of B vitamins, B1 thiamine, B3 niacin and B5 pantothenic acid.

Cashew nuts contain the water-soluble vitamin B1, which is responsible for the carbohydrate metabolism in the body.

Other ingredients include unsaturated fatty acids, water, high-quality vegetable proteins, fats, usable carbohydrates, fiber, sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and niacin.


Why are our cashews treated with the steam of hot water?
The cashew, in its natural state, is covered by a hard, inedible nutshell.

The edible nut itself is layered in with a dark brown skin.
Before processing, the nutshell and the nut will be processed with steam.

This brief heating of the nutshell largely neutralizes the strongly corrosive peel oil.

The peel oil would immediately burn/etch the skin of workers who come in contact with the oil.

By the previous steam treatment, however, the workers are spared-off from getting many wounds when peeling.
If the white liquid comes into the eyes, it can lead even to blindness.
Only the hot water steam treatment can avoid such work accidents.

The edible nut kernel itself is hardly affected from the steam-processing and is, therefore, a safe method for the consumer as well as for the worker.

Hand cranking is often done in the countries of origin by socially vulnerable families, including their children, and we can not support that.

Therefore, we have decided to offer only cashews, which were previously heated with steam.

We love nature and everything natural and original.

But we also love people and do not want to take advantage of what others have to suffer for.
