General information about Piri Piri / Chili products:
Whether fresh or dried, or in sauces:
Chili products should always be stored child-resistant and kept away from children during processing.
Explain to your children why, a pure ban makes only curious. The best protection is the explanation and the correct exemplary processing/use to show.
You should wear protective gloves when handling and using very sharp chilli pods / products, avoid skin contact, especially protect the eyes, hands and used dishes well clean.
The best first aid (according to our experience), when it happens:
In case of eye contact:
Contact an emergency doctor immediately, never wash with water!!!!!
For burning in mouth and esophagus:
Eat a piece of white bread or toast with mascorpone cheese as greasy as possible, or any other greasy cheese, yoghurt sweetened with sugar, milk sweetened with sugar. No water at all, that would only spread the heat. Then you'd rather have an ice-cold beer. The active ingredient of chilli, capsaicin, is fat-soluble.
