The Bavarian master chef Alfons Schuhbeck spices even the most urbayrisch dishes, such as roast pork or meatballs with his beloved spice trio: cayenne pepper, ginger and garlic. Garlic and ginger should be used together, because then the medical effect of both increases by about 50%. Ginger also eliminates the unpleasant smell of garlic. With ginger and cayenne pepper together, the body releases endorphins (happiness hormones). The capsaicin in the chilli peppers creates a pain stimulus, which in turn triggers the release of endorphins.
