Dried barberries are very rich in vitamins (a lot of vitamin C) and contain carotenoids and pectin. Their taste is slightly bitter-sour.
Eaten in muesli a very pleasant taste. Well suited for the preparation of sweet-sour dishes, rice or for seasoning fish and roasts. Also in the fruit tea a tasty enrichment.
