Fresh apricots contain only few calories 183kJ/100g (43kcal/100g), but they are rich in carotene, the provitamin A. The fruits are also rich in minerals and other vitamins such as niacin, folic acid, B5 and C.
Apricots contain an amazing amount of salicylic acid and larger amounts of the flavonoid quercetin (Q10).
No fruit provides so much beta carotene and magnesium.
Also important are the high folic acid content (especially important during pregnancy, during and after menopause) and the high potassium content.
